Hotel Omorika, Crikvenica
Hotel Omorika is located about 2 km from the centre of Crkvenica. Surrounded by Mediterranean plants it rises above the promenade that is next to a pebbled beach.
The first thing you will see when you wake up in this hotel is the beautiful blue sea and the greenery on the Island of Krk. You will cherish the experience of the sun and a light breeze gently caressing you while you are drinking your morning coffee.
The hotel was built in 1973. It got its name from a protected endemic tree “Omorika” that was discovered by botanist dr Josip Pančić, who was born is this area, in Bribir. The tree was discovered in 1855 and is considered a living fossil as it dates back to the Tertiary period. Outside of its natural habitat, Pančić’s omorika is of great value to horticulture as an ornamental plant in gardens and parks. A statue to honour botanist Pančić was placed in front of the hotel.
The size of the hotel, its spacious halls and state rooms tell a story of glamour of past times. Hotel Omorika held famous symposiums and scientific gatherings. The best known is the 1st World Symposium of Astronauts on the subject of Danikan’s book on aliens.
The hotel was renovated in 2015 and 2016.

Sa uslugom vaše agencije bio sam potpuno zadovoljan. Sve je bilo brzo, jednostavno i prema dogovoru i bez ikakvih problema, pa vas mogu samo pohvaliti. Slično je bilo i sa hotelom Omorika u Crikvenici. Ono što sam očekivao to se je i ostvarilo. Smještaj je bio solidan. Soba i kupaona dovoljno prostrane sa lijepim pogledom na more. Mali problem bio je odlazak u restoran, jer smo zbog invalidskih kolica morali koristiti teretni lift, ali to i nije bila velika prepreka. Rečeno nam je da će to uskoro biti izmijenjeno. Svakako moram pohvaliti ljubazno i susretljivo osoblje koje nam je uvijek bilo pri ruci kako u restoranu tako i na recepciji. Isto tako moram pohvaliti izbor, ukus, količinu i kvalitetu hrane serviranu za večernji obrok. Svaka večera je bila vrlo dobra, a često i odlična. Malo manje sam zadovoljan izborom jela za doručak, ali to je možda malo i stvar navike. U svakom slučaj opća ocjena bila bi i više nego solidna četvorka.
