Hotel Osejava stands at the foot of the majestic Biokovo mountain where the stones of Makarska touch the blueness of the sea. The name of the hotel suggests both the pleasure of shade (osoja) and the beautiful pine forest which surrounds the hotel.
The Hotel Osejava is situated by the sea, on the town promenade. Its location is very attractive, only 50 meters from the beach with its typical pine trees. A short walk of a couple hundred meters takes you to the main town square with St Mark’s church.
The town and the sea, the colors and the scents of the Mediterranean do not end once you enter the hotel. The four star hotel has 45 rooms and 5 apartments. The narrow stone-paved streets of Makarska and the scenes and details of Dalmatia have been discreetly incorporated into the architecture and design. You can see the texture of the stone wall, the patina of the old doors and the tavern inside. Brilliant bougainvillea flowers, clothes drying on the line and the interior of the hotel become small urban vignettes of Dalmatian architecture. Photographic murals make the interior poetic. The borderline between reality and the fantasy of the Mediterranean we know from the films and books is indistinct.
